Donor Hair Pics

Here are some pictures of my donor area...
My hair isnt too long in the back and sides and no visible scar even with strip surgery. You can even see the spot on the top of my head where I still have tinea capitus.

Month 8 Pics

Finally here are my current month 8 pics...I still have a little bit of the infection remaining but the temples are filling out nicely...only one bad spot in the crown that is nowhere near the transplanted hair. The first pics are my hair wet slicked back with flash, and then slightly damp combed to the side with flash..I tried to show a little of the top to show that I had some thickening in the crown..I think if i can fit 2000 more follicles in there I'll be set.

Month 6-8

I haven't written in my journal or posted pics because I was having some problems with a scalp infection.. the reason the temples havent been growing as well is because I have had tinea capitus...I havent had this since I was a child and what a time to get it...I am taking medication for it and it is healing so hopefully I will be able to post some month 8 pictures really soon. The right temple is now growing fast, and will recover fully.. Doesn't look like any of the follicles died so Im really lucky...I will show in the next few months how the right temple recovers and by month 12 I should have an amazing final result to show.

Month 5 Pics

Here are my month 5 pics....looks amazing but I am still having problems with the temples especially on the one side. I think I might have an infection, but not sure...I will go to the dermatologist to have them look at it, but the rest of it looks great....even my crown looks thicker after getting of the dutasteride and onto the finasteride which was Dr. Armani's recommendation. After 5 months it seems to be improving some. The scar can only be seen with a flash as u can see here. I will definitely get that fixed though.

Month 4

I had alot of pictures before this but my external hardrive was damaged somehow so I will just post my 4 month pictures....I am extremely pleased with the results right now.. My hair looks even better than it did 2 yrs ago even only after 4 months.. My only concern is there is a definite slowing of growth in the temples compared to the hairline. I was told this is normal but I am still a little concerned...Hopefully it will catch up soon. The scar on the right side is about 2mm maybe 3 at the worst, and was only visable when i cut my hair down to a number 2 or less. After that it disapears with the hair around it. I plan on getting it fixed still when I back for more hair.

2 Weeks after surgery scar pics

This is what my scar looked like right after I took out the staples on the 14th day. It is still red, and there is some stretching on the right side...alot of people get some on this side I hear, but I'm sure if it doesnt look right Dr. Armani will do a scar revision...not really worried right now. The pain is gone, but the area is still pretty numb.

Day of Surgery June 11 2007

I recieved 4339 follicles in zones 1, and 2 and I'm hoping it will look great as we went for maximum density in the hairline...my hair actually looked worse than ever after I grew it out and pictures were taken, and I was even thinner than I thought. I think a major problem I had was switching from finasteride to dutasteride. I did this for a few months and after a massive shedding, my hair never recovered. This is one of the main reasons I decided to get the transplant. I chose Dr. Armani after about 6 months of careful research and a recommendation from one of my friends at school. The surgery itself was fairly painless, but the night of was pretty uncomfortable. Sleeping was difficult, and I flew home the next day. Hopefully, everything will turn out great.
